What is Business Advisers Direct?
Business Advisers Direct is one of the 4 markets (categories) of consultants and advisers in Skillfair (the others are Corporate, IT and Technology (engineering etc).
The client-facing site at
www.BusinessAdvisersDirect.co.uk is marketed as a
replacement for Business Link face-to-face advice and support (now defunct) and as an alternative to government-funded schemes like Mentorsme and Growth Accelerator, which have formal application and acceptance processes and follow a fixed delivery model.
We encourage clients to post questions or requirements directly to the site and these are circulated to you as a Business Advisers Direct member to respond. Following which, a direct dialogue can begin between client and potential advisers.
We also operate a
direct telephone helpline to answer questions and help clients to use the system and
find their way to our advisers.
One vital part of the offer is the Free Advice Promise (FAP)
Advisers can opt-in to offering up to an hour of free email, phone or face-to-face advice and are flagged on the site to show that they are offering this service, which we know is attractive to clients and encourages them to come forward.
You can opt-in or out at any time depending on your current workload and the map will be updated accordingly.
You can also say
HOW and at what times or days of the week you wish to provide free advice. Again, you can change this as your circumstances change. When you are busy you can switch it off with one click.
