Sharing Information

One of the things I like about working with consultants and service businesses is that people are generally very generous with their time and expertise. Many newcomers to consultancy comment on how supportive other consultants are and we receive a steady stream of helpful ideas, suggestions of ways to improve our services, tips for newsletters and so on.

I also know from the volume of referral emails that get sent out that you're also very happy to tell your contacts about Skillfair and the projects that we send you. So, in the spirit of 'what goes around, comess around', I wanted to tell you about a very useful resource for projects in Eire. Skillfair posts projects from Northern Ireland but until now we hadn't looked at Eire very hard - and in the process of researching it we discovered that there is an excellent free service supported by the Irish Government. As far as I can see http://www.e-tenders.gov.ie is completely free and seems to have a very comprehensive mix of large and small tenders so is well worth a look if you fancy working in the Emerald Isle!

Our own geographical spread seems to be increasing all the time, with a number of projects in the Middle-East recently - something that many of you seem to be quite keen on. As usual, these are just small selection of the projects and tenders available - and please remember that although we call anything that's from the public domain a 'tender', many of these are very small projects, sometimes as little as £5,000, and usually involve just a simple proposal rather than the full tender process.

We've also noticed an increase in people posting information about Skillfair on other websites recently - this is great for us but also helps all our members as it encourages clients to come here to look for help.
