New Skillfair Members Group on LinkedIn

One of the nice things about writing this newsletter is the feedback and comments we get - all of which help us to keep in touch with what you're doing. Some of the comments on the Skillfair blog have developed into quite extensive and useful discussions as well.

As I mentioned last week, we're in the process of redeveloping the Skillfair website and we've spent a lot of time considering whether to build a forum or discussion facility into the site. We've finally decided that it makes more sense to piggy back on a system that many of you already use, so we've set up a members-only Skillfair group on LinkedIn.

As a member you are already registered as a pre-approved group member so all you need to do is click here and request to join, although if you use a different email address for your Skillfair and LinkedIn accounts we may need to manually approve your request.

The group facility allows you to discuss issues of interest, post news items and network with other Skillfair members and we hope you'll find it useful. All feedback on how it works will be gratefully received.

While I'm on the subject of networking, I was asked recently where in the UK the attendees for the Skillfair conference were coming from, and was delighted to see when I investigated that we have people heading to Manchester from right across the UK. There's a really nice mix of specialist areas too, so I'm really looking forward to the discussions we have planned.

In case you haven't had a chance to look at the agenda it includes in-depth workshops on Tendering, Marketing, Sales and Personal Effectiveness so there's something for everyone. For more details of the agenda and to book click here.
