| Summary |
The purpose of the tender is to provide targeted land management advice to small groups of owners and occupiers (and their advisors) of selected designated sites (and features) that are currently in unfavourable condition across Scotland. Specifically, to arrange on site meetings for owners and occupiers to consider the range of factors currently affecting the condition of the site; facilitate discussion and explain the requirements of the features or site and the management that is needed to bring about improvement in condition; identify appropriate options (SRDP) for managing the habitats or specific features.
The exact requirements may vary, depending on size of site, from specific targeted advice for small sites to wider facilitation for more complex sites with multiple owners.
The contractors will require a good understanding of the relevant natura and SSSI interests and their management requirements; an understanding of the relevant legislation including land users responsibilities under GAEC and cross compliance; good knowledge of agricultural management and the ability to clearly explain to owners and occupiers the relevant managment options (SRDP) for each site/ feature
