Newsletter - Advisors get involved locally
For some advisors getting involved with local businesses and organisations is an obvious way to make new business contacts, but those of us who travel a lot for work sometime overlook the benefits of local networking. I know that I've often under-estimated the quality and quantity of useful people in my local area. If you're busy, then building local contacts can help you find people to support you and take some of the load. If you're not, then getting involved in local organisations will get you out and about and making new contacts - and you never know when a fellow committee member will turn out to be a potential client!

Client Newsletter - Effective Writing
Whatever your position in a business there are times when you need to write in a way that galvanises people into action - and in a world that's increasingly dominated by massive amounts of freely available information it can be very difficult to get your point across clearly.

What makes a good article?
Social networking and social media have really taken off as a means of getting your message heard, but as an advisor you want people to do more than just read a 140 character tweet. Ideally you want someone to read your blog or article and be so impressed with your wisdom, experience and creativity that they immediately pick up the phone and ask for your help.
Unfortunately, most of us don't write for a living and the type of report that consultants generally produce isn't exactly riveting reading. So how do you write an article that will bring in readers, show case your talents and get clients to engage with you?

Quote from William Montgomery
" I'm reviewing a number of websites for their clarity and purpose in delivering their owners' customer propositions. The Skillfair website shows a clear understanding by the business of their members requirements and guides them without ambiguity to the relevant service. In addition the site has a style and presentation that is appropriate the nature of Skillfair's market."
