I was starting to wonder if the UK would actually have a new government in time for me to talk about it this newsletter. But they made it in the end, and the question on everyone's mind of course, is what will this new style of government actually do? Newsletter - Business as Usual
By the time you read this we should all have some idea of what kind of government the UK will have for the next few years. I'm hearing from lots of people that businesses want to get on with things but are delaying decisions, and I'm hoping that the end of this very long drawn out election campaign will allow people to plan and get on with business as usual. Whether or not you like the election result, as businesses we have to deal with the world as it is which often means re-assessing your direction and making changes to adapt as the situation changes around us.

Are you Crowd-Sourcing?
Essentially, Crowd-Sourcing is the idea that the more people you can get involved in solving a problem or designing something the more likely you are to hit on a novel and effective result. I'm a little sceptical of how useful this is as I think the quality of results will always depend on the quality of your crowd, but I do think there's real value for independent consultants and small businesses generally in tapping in to the ideas and knowledge of other people.
